Every insurance peril premium is reduced
due to the concrete homes's qualities.
Wind and Hail
The Reinforced Concrete Construction that we utilize can easily meet the requirements of a “Wind Resistive” structure as defined by the Mississippi Windstorm Underwriters Association. This classification alone can lead to a savings of up to 80% over frame construction in the state of Mississippi for the life of the dwelling.
Furthermore, if the home is constructed to the IBHS (Industrial Building and Home Safety) “Fortified” standards, the owner can enjoy an additional reduction of up to 25% of that rate premium. The “Fortified” standards are not difficult for us to meet. SBG has three buildings in North Carolina that are “Fortified.” And one of the houses under construction in Mississippi will be “Fortified.”
Other states also extend credits and reduced premiums for Reinforced Concrete Construction. Please contact your state’s insurance department for details.
Flood
We can't stop rising flood waters, but we can reduce the agregate claim. The solid walls/floors make clean up and renovation quick and easy.
Fire
Concrete homes also have the ability to resist fire, which
in turn results in less structural damage to the house itself,
should it undergo a fire. Your concrete home's fire resisting
ability will also slow the growth of any flame, giving your
family more time to escape to safety.
Mold, Mildew and Rot
With concrete there is nothing to support the growth of mold and mildew. Concrete will not rot or decay
Mortgage Rates
Mortgages with lower interest rates and closing cost reductions
for these homes are available. The structure has a useable
life of 300 years, just like many heavy masonry and concrete
homes in Europe, so there are longer term mortgages available.
Excellent Investment
Enjoy the substantial savings and excellent investment
protection in a concrete home built by Security Building
